One activity that you cannot forget doing whilst you’re in Cairns is cruising to the Outer Great Barrier Reef. There are billions of incredibly colored fish and corals that your mind will spin and your trigger finger will get sore from taking so many pictures.
There are 3 different kinds of reef tours that you may pick out from, and it all depends on your needs as to which sort is going to suit you. As I have done all but one or two reef tours from Cairns , I have selected the reef trips that I believed were among the best and then placed them in to 2 alternate subsections.
These tours are excellent value for money and are chiefly for the young. Everyone understands, However, if you’re young in nature, you are going to fully enjoy these tours.
If you are looking for a boat trip that’s tons of fun, in addition to wonderful snorkelling and diving, then look no further!
Noah’s Ark was 1 of the 1st ‘budget’ reef daytrip businesses to operate tours out to the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns. You won’t find any more affordable than ‘Noah’s’ and it is really incredibly good value for money.
Noah’s Ark visits Green Island, as well as Moore Reef, and you can look forward to having about 3 hours snorkelling time in total. The workers are very couteous, and will help you out when it comes time to do some boom netting (for those unfamiliar with the term ‘boom netting’, this involves a huge net getting towed behind a slow moving watercraft, and you hopping in and holding on to it, as well as holding on to your bathers!).
It’s certainly not the most specatcular boat in the world, however half the fun is the journey and you’ll enjoy Noahs Ark if what you want is a pleasant ‘cruisy’ day.
